Steps

Boil the milk with the split vanilla bean.
Meanwhile, sift the cornstarch and mix it with the sugar.

Add the beaten eggs and mix everything until well combined.
Add the milk after removing the vanilla bean and scraping the seeds.
Mix well.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly for about 1 to 2 minutes.

Roll out the pie crust in a round pan. Prick the bottom and pour in the mixture.
Smooth the surface.
Bake for about 30 - 40 minutes (depending on the oven) until well browned.

Let it cool completely before removing from the pan and serving.
