Make the cookie dough. Mix the room temperature butter with the powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Add the egg yolks one at a time. Finally, sift the flour and fold it in gently. Leave the dough in the fridge for half an hour, covering it with plastic wrap to prevent a crust from forming.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1/5 inch (0.5 cm). Use cookie cutters to shape them. For the jam cookies, cut two identical shapes and make a small circle in the center of the top one.

Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Decorate them as you like. Powdered sugar gives the cookies a delicious flavor. I used milk chocolate for the topping, which I prefer (haha). If you want to make the little deer, use a piping bag with a Wilton tip number 1 to make the eyes, nose, and tail. You can attach the ribbon to the cookie with a bit of melted chocolate. Remove the ribbon before eating!!!!, hahaha
