Cooking Instructions

Cook the 1.5 cups rice and 2 cups of water in the rice cooker.

Heat up the coconut milk, sugar, and salt.

Add 1 cup of the coconut mixture to the cooked rice.

To the remaining coconut mixture, add in a cornstarch slurry to thicken it up on low to medium heat.

Plate the rice and top it off with the coconut glaze.
- 6
Add sesame seeds and mango. Enjoy!!

Actually I have shared and posted the mango sticky rice recipe some time ago, but in a different version. In my previous sticky rice recipe, I cooked it using a steamer, and I had to soak the sticky rice in water for at least 2 hours before cooking it. The time is longer than I expected. This time I will share again the Thai mango sticky rice dessert in the easiest way. Instead of cooking and steaming it into a steamer, I will just cook it in a rice cooker. It's much faster and I don't need to soak the glutinous rice first. Just cook it like the way we cook the regular rice. And also to make coconut cream sauce, I use the microwave instead of boiling it on the stove. Sounds easy right ???? So let's get straight to the recipe. Nia Hiura -
