Prepare a bundle of toothpicks; roll the filling into balls.

Mix the dough ingredients until smooth. I used a mixer and pasta roller, but if kneading by hand, repeatedly roll out and fold the dough until the inside is fine and even when cut.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Take 20 grams of dough and knead in green food coloring until evenly colored.

Use a leaf-shaped cutter to cut out 8 leaf pieces.

Wrap the filling with the dough and pinch the seams closed tightly.

Shape each bun into an oval, pinching both ends to a point.

Pinch one end of each leaf to a point and attach it to the yellow dough.

Poke the surface with toothpicks to create texture.

Let the buns rise at 100°F (38°C) for 40 minutes, until they feel lighter.

Once the water is boiling, steam the buns for 16 minutes, then let them sit with the lid on for 3 minutes.
