I just made homemade pesto with fresh basil from my own garden. It’s easy to prepare and can’t be compared to store-bought!

Use fresh basil leaves from your garden.

Pick the leaves one by one and wash them in cold water. Drain well, then place the basil on a kitchen towel and let it dry in the sun.

Place the dried basil leaves, salt, pine nuts, grated cheese, and plenty of extra virgin olive oil in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Transfer the blended pesto to a bowl.
- 5
Spoon the pesto into small aluminum containers for freezing.
