Boil the potatoes and beetroot. Peel the potatoes and mash them. Peel the beetroot and mash it together with the potatoes. Grind the green chilies and garlic together.

Add salt and red chili powder to taste, then mix well. Shape the mixture into round patties.

Place the tikkis on a hot griddle and cook both sides with oil until golden brown. You can also fry them if you prefer.

Garnish the prepared beetroot tikkis with cilantro, garlic chutney, green chutney, and chopped onion. Serve.
