In a thick bottomed pan heat ghee.
Now reduce flame to low and add 1 cup fine rava to the ghee. - 2
Roast till the ghee getting separated and the color of rava will also change.

Heat water in a sauce pan and add 1 cup sugar.

Mix well with spoon and add saffron strands. Switch off the flame.

Add slowly this sugar syrup in roasted rava. Mix well and add cashews and raisins. Add cardamom powder. Stir till the mixture releases some ghee and the rava has absorbed all the water and cooked well.

Spread the rava kesari in a plate and cut in your desired shape. Garnish with chopped almonds and saffron threads and serve rava kesari warm.
