Raksha Bandhan celebrations at our place were a blast! The kids were fasting and wanted something tasty. I made steamed potatoes with crispy sabudana papads and served them with potato fries and pomegranate sherbet. Everyone loved the creative fasting snacks, and we all had a great time together!

Raksha Bandhan celebrations at our place were a blast! The kids were fasting and wanted something tasty. I made steamed potatoes with crispy sabudana papads and served them with potato fries and pomegranate sherbet. Everyone loved the creative fasting snacks, and we all had a great time together!

To start, steam small potatoes in a pressure cooker with water and salt. Place the potatoes in a steamer basket, cover, and steam for 5 minutes. Let it whistle 2 times, then let the potatoes cool. Peel and refrigerate them for 2-4 hours.

Blend coriander, green chilies, ice cubes, rock salt, and lemon juice in a mixer jar until smooth. Transfer to a container. Finely chop the green chilies and grate the ginger. Combine all the ingredients.

Cook the potatoes for a couple of minutes, then stir in the coriander chutney and mix everything together.

Mix in rock salt, coriander leaves, chaat masala, roasted sesame seeds, pepper powder, and amchur powder. Cook on low heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat, and the dish is ready!

Transfer to a plate and serve.

Fry potato fries in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain excess oil and serve them on a plate.

Deep-fry sabudana papads in the same oil and place them on a plate.

Pomegranate shorts :

Blend pomegranate seeds, sugar, ice cubes, and cashews in a mixer jar. Add cold water and blend until smooth. Set the mixture aside.

Now, serve the prepared potatoes on a plate, potato fritters in a glass, fried sago papads on another plate, along with chutney, toothpicks, and pomegranate shots in small glasses.
