In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar and margarine (if you don't have margarine, you can use oil). Beat for about 2 minutes.

Gradually add the sifted flour and yogurt, mixing until the batter has the consistency of chilled sweetened condensed milk. Continue beating for another 2 minutes.

Finally, add the baking powder and your choice of flavoring: 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 1 teaspoon orange zest, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or 1 teaspoon anise extract, etc.

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes.

Place the pound cake on a plate.

Dust with powdered sugar.
