Steps
- 1
Soak poha, drain well, and mash in a bowl.
- 2
Add besan, green chili, ginger paste, curry leaves, and salt. Mix to form a dough.
- 3
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, jeera, and chili flakes for tadka.
- 4
Pour tadka into the dough and mix well.
- 5
Shape dough into finger-like sticks.
- 6
Deep fry or shallow fry fingers until golden brown. Press an almond at one end for the nail.
- 7
Serve with tomato ketchup at the tip for a 'bloody' effect.
Tips
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to get a crispy texture. You can also add other spices to the dough for extra flavor!
