Steps

Wash the fish pieces, and add to a bowl of hot water to boil for 3-4 mins, set aside and discard the water

Kofta - in a bowl add the deboned fish, add Besan or chickpea flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger and onion paste, chopped green chillies, salt, sugar and raisins and mix well

Make balls

In a pan heat oil and add the balls and fry on medium flame
- 5
Wash and Peel potato, cut into pieces. In a wok heat oil, add potatoes and fry.

Curry - in a wok heat mustard oil, add cumin seeds and bay leaf, stir for 1-2 seconds. Add ginger paste, onion paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar, salt, and add little water and cook until raw smell is gone

Add whisked yogurt and stir further, add fried potatoes, little water and cover to cook

Add the fried koftas and sprinkle garam masala powder, cover and set aside to plate

Plate and enjoy with steamed rice
Tips
For Kofta - the deboning of the fish mixed with spices well is essential and Besan or chickpea flour acts as a binding agent
Curry - the kofta has to be added right at the end
