Ingredients

Serves 5 servings
  • 1 cupwhite rice (about 200 grams)
  • 1 can(about 7 oz/200 grams) mixed vegetables (corn, peas, carrots)
  • 1 clovegarlic
  • 1 tablespoonbutter
  • 1 1/3 cupswater (about 315 ml)
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse the rice and drain well.

    Finely chop the garlic.

  3. 3

    In a pot, melt the butter and sauté the garlic.

    Add the rice and stir until it becomes translucent.

    Add the water and the mixed vegetables.

  6. 6

    Season with salt and pepper.

  7. 7

    Cover and cook on low heat until the water is absorbed.
