Steps

Prepare Batter :-

In a bowl, mix gram flour, wheat flour, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and baking soda.
Add curd and oil, mix well. Add water gradually to make a smooth batter. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. - 3
Steam Dhokli :-

Grease a plate and spread the batter evenly. Steam for 10–12 minutes. Let it cool and cut into pieces.

Prepare Curry,:-

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
Add green chillies, turmeric and red chilli powder. - 7
Cook :-

Add buttermilk and stir continuously. Bring to a boil.
Add dhokli pieces and cook for a few minute - 9

Add sugar and salt, mix well. Cook for 1–2 minutes and switch off the flame.

Serve hot with rotli and chaas for a comforting Gujarati meal.
Tips
∆ Use slightly sour buttermilk for best taste
∆ Stir continuously after adding buttermilk to avoid curdling
∆ Do not overcook dhokli to keep them soft
