Ingredients

30minutes
7 servings
  1. 1 tbsp.ghee
  2. 3green cardamoms, crushed
  3. 1/4 cupdesiccated coconut
  4. 1/4 cupkhoya, grated
  5. 1/4 cupchopped nuts
  6. 1 tbsp.honey
  7. 14samosa patties (wrappers)
  8. As required, oil
  9. As required, syrup, cold
  10. 2 tbsp.pistachios, grated
  11. As required, gold dust (optional)

Steps

30minutes
  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a pan and sauté cardamoms for 30 seconds.

  2. 2

    Add coconut and roast for 1 minute.

  3. 3

    Add khoya and roast for 1 minute.

  4. 4

    Add nuts and mix well.

  5. 5

    Add honey. Mix well and remove to cool.

  6. 6

    Place 2 wrappers on board in plus (+) style.

  7. 7

    Add 2 spoonful of filling in centre.

  8. 8

    Fold on flap over the filling and apply slurry. Fold the alternate flap and apply slurry. Repeat with remaining flaps. (See video for steps).

  9. 9

    Heat oil in a pan and fry the patties, till golden from both sides.

  10. 10

    Remove and dip in cold syrup.

  11. 11

    Place on serving plates, sprinkle pistachios on each patty and sprinkle gold dust.
    Serve chilled.
