Soak soya chunks in hot water for 10minutes and squeeze out the water.Wash basmati rice 2-3minutes and soak for 5minutes.Marinate the soyachunks with 1tsp yogurt,a little turmeric powder,red chilli powder, cumin seeds powder, and salt for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon,cardamom and cumin seeds.Fry the chopped onion and green chillies until golden brown.Then add chopped tomatoes and carrots.Add marinated soya chunks and a little hot spices powder and saute well for 5minutes.Add the drained rice,twice the amount of hot water as rice(2cup of water to 1cup of rice)and salt.Cover and cook on medium heat for 20minutes.

Soya chunks pulao is ready.Serve with raita and salad.
