Creamy Bliss: Homemade Yogurt

This dish is a blissful homemade yoghurt that brings comfort and freshness in every bite. It was inspired by the simple, traditional way of preparing food at home, where natural ingredients and patience create something truly special. What makes it meaningful to me is the process itself—watching milk transform into thick, creamy yoghurt feels rewarding and reminds me of home and care.

It was inspired by the simple, traditional way of preparing food at home, where natural ingredients and patience create something truly special. What makes it meaningful to me is the process itself—watching milk transform into thick, creamy yoghurt feels rewarding and reminds me of home and care.
Steps
- 1
Pour milk into a saucepan and heat to 180°F (82°C), then remove from heat.
- 2
Let milk cool to 110°F (43°C). Speed up cooling with a cold water bath if desired.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix yogurt starter with a little cooled milk until smooth.
- 4
Stir the starter mixture back into the rest of the cooled milk.
- 5
Incubate in a warm place (about 110°F/43°C) for 4–6 hours until thickened.
- 6
Pour into clean containers and cover.
- 7
- 8
Once set, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Tips
Feel free to experiment with the recipe, adjusting the incubation time for a thicker or thinner consistency.
