
Vanilla Ice Cream
My favorite ice cream is vanilla so I made this recipe
Steps

Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale.

Heat milk and cream in a saucepan until just before boiling.

Slowly pour hot milk mixture into egg yolks, whisking constantly.

Return mixture to saucepan and cook on low, stirring, until thickened.

Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and cool completely.

Churn in an ice cream maker until set, then freeze until firm.
Tips
For a richer flavor, consider using real vanilla beans instead of extract.
