Lab-e-Shireen:

Lab e shireen is a classic Arabian dessert that served as Eid special dessert in Pakistan. It is a custard and fruit based dessert that is highly refreshing and rich in taste usually served on Eid or in the holy month of Ramdan. You may even call it Pakistani fruit custard. This dessert lab e shireen tastes best when it is chilled before serving.

Steps

In a mixing bowl dissolve custard powder in 1/2 cup of milk.
In a cooking pot add remaining 1 and 1/2 liter of milk, dissolved custard mixture and sugar. Combine well.
Now turn on the flame and cook on low flame while stirring continuously till the milk thickens. Check the thickness of milk and remove the pot from stove. - 2
Let the custard cool down completely then take out in a bowl.
Add boiled and strain vermicelli. Combine everything. - 3
Then add tapioca pearls /sago seeds & fruit cocktail and fresh cream and mix well.
Add cubes of red and green jelly in the custard mixture. Combine these as well.
Lastly add chopped dry fruits in the lab e shireen. - 4

Garnish with jelly cubes and chopped nuts.
Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
Scoop some your favourite ice cream on top and served chilled.
Tips
💡Notes:
You may add fresh fruits like apple, banana, pineapple or grapes as well in the lab e shireen.
Add or skip the dry fruits/nuts as per your choice.
Many recipes involves mini ras gulla in the lab e shireen and you may add as well.
