Moringa Masala Chaas (Moringa Spiced Buttermilk)

📌 Caption :
An Ayurvedic spiced buttermilk that provides ultimate coolness to the stomach and amazing nutrition on hot summer afternoons! Prepared with the superfood Moringa (drumstick) leaf powder, this is a perfect summer health drink. #CA26
🌟 Introduction :
Prepared for Cookpad's 'Nature's Hidden Gems' theme using the wonderful nature's gift, "Moringa" (Drumstick). Since Moringa leaf powder has a warm nature, instead of drinking it as a warm decoction (Kava) in summer, blending it with cold and digestive buttermilk ensures that it doubles the health benefits without overheating the body.
∆ Benefits :
Rich in Calcium & Iron: Moringa powder helps strengthen bones and treats anemia (low hemoglobin levels).
Excellent for Digestion: Cumin, black salt, and mint help relieve stomach gas, bloating, and indigestion.
Prevents Heat Stroke: Drinking this during the afternoon maintains hydration levels and protects the body from summer heat.

Steps
- 1
In a large jug or blender jar, add 2 cups of yogurt and 2 cups of chilled water and whisk it well (or directly take 4 cups of plain homemade buttermilk).
- 2
Now, add 1/2 tsp of moringa powder, 1/2 tsp of roasted cumin powder, 1/4 tsp of black salt, mint paste, and regular salt as per your taste into the buttermilk.
- 3
Whisk the buttermilk thoroughly using a hand churner (Rvaiyo) or blender so that all the spices and moringa powder blend completely and a nice froth forms on top.
- 4
Pour the spiced buttermilk into glass cups. Garnish with a pinch of roasted cumin powder and finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve absolutely chilled with your afternoon lunch!

Tips
Always serve and consume this buttermilk fresh. Storing it for too long might make the moringa flavor slightly bitter.
If your yogurt is a bit sour, you can adjust by adding a little more chilled water.
