Wash and peel small potatoes. Make slits in the center of each.Fry potatoes in hot oil on medium heat until 50% cooked. Drain.

In a bowl, mix fried potatoes with chili, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, and salt. Let marinate for 5 minutes.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida for tempering.Add curry leaves and marinated potatoes. Pour in 100ml water.

Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles.Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
Tips
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garam masala before serving.
