Cook for 3-5 minutes, until sausage is nicely browned and onions have softened. Take them out of skillet.

In same skillet, add orzo and tomato paste, stirring well.

Allow orzo to toast for 1-2 minutes.

Add chicken broth, cajun seasoning, onion powder, parsley, and garlic powder.

Whisk to combine and bring everything to a boil.

Stir occasionally and let cook for 10-12 minutes.

Remove from heat and pour in heavy cream and parmesan cheese.

Stir until cheese has fully melted, then mix in cooked sausage and onion.

Let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
