Cut off the stem of the eggplant and cut it in half.

Place chopsticks on both sides and make fine, grid-like cuts as shown in this picture.

Soak it in water for 3 minutes. Make sauce mixture.

Put 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and fry both sides of eggplant until golden brown. Then pour sauce mixture and simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve on a plate and garnish with grated daikon radish and green onions.
Tips
If you don’t have Mentsuyu, 2 teaspoons Hondashi( Japanese fish stock powder)+2 teaspoons soy sauce + 70ml water.
