Ingredients

30 mins
4-serving
  • 1 bunchcoriander leaves of , washed , finely choppe
  • 1½ Cupsbesan
  • 4 Tablespoonsrice flour
  • 3 tspsginger-garlic green chilli & paste
  • 5 4 clovesgreen chilli garlic ginger ( use ' s , & 1 "
  • ½ Teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1 Teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1 Teaspoonsesame seeds
  • a pinchof hing
  • 1lemon juice of
  • 1/4 Teaspoonbaking soda
  • to tastesalt
  • oil for shallow frying
  • water for mixing the ingredients
  • 2 Teaspoonsoil
  • tomato ketchup for serving

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Grease a flat bottom vessel with oil. you can use dhokla patra (i used the cheesecake spring foam pan)

  2. 2

    In a separate bowl mix all the ingredients with enough water to make a thick batter.

  3. 3

    Pour the batter into the greased pan, steam cook for 30 minutes in a pressure cooker without the whistle. insert a toothpick or a knife, if it comes out clean the kothimbir vadi is done. Keep aside to cool unmould and cut into pieces.

  4. 4

    Before serving, heat oil in a pan & shallow fry the vadis on medium heat till crisp & they change their color to brown.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with a tomato ketchup.
