Ingredients

  1. 1 cupSugar
  2. 1/2 cupMargarine
  3. 1/2 cupother shortening
  4. 2Eggs
  5. 1 1/2 cupPastry Flour
  6. 2 cupRolled Oats
  7. 1 tspCinnamon
  8. 1/2 tspSalt
  9. 1 1/2 cupChopped Raisins
  10. 1/2 cupChopped Nut Meats
  11. 1 tspBaking Soda
  12. 1 tbspVinegar

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 400°F

  2. 2

    Beat eggs

  3. 3

    Sift together flour, cinnamon and salt

  4. 4

    Cream together margarine, shortening and sugar.

  5. 5

    Add the beaten eggs , the oats, the sifted flour mixture, the raisins and nuts.

  6. 6

    Add the Soda to the vinegar then add to the main mixture.

  7. 7

    Mix all together thoroughly, scoop out with a 2 inch scoop then flatten to 1/2 inch thickness, bake on greased and parchment covered cookie sheet for ten minutes in a 400°.F oven.
