Steps

240 mins
  1. 1

Mix the flour, yeast, milk and salt until the dough comes clean from the sides of the bowl. (You can use half milk, half water too)

  2. 2

Place the dough into a greased bowl and leave to rest at room temperature until it doubles in volume.

  3. 3

When risen divide it into 10-12 balls and flatten them.

  4. 4

To make the filling crumble the cheese and chop the garlic and herbs. Mix them. Place about 1-2 tbsp of the cheese-herb mixture on the flatten dough.

  5. 5

Seal the pocket with a fork or with your fingers and place it in a greased loaf pan. Do the same with the rest.

  6. 6

Leave again to rest at room temperature. When risen brush with egg wash and bake in preheated oven, at 190C, for about 35-40 minutes.

  7. 7

Leave to cool a little and get it out of the pan. Okay, i am being a hypocrite here. I never wait. Although, it can very well serve two, I love to eat a whole loaf by myself. Yes, it is that yummy. And I am that greedy. :D

  8. 8

You can try this with different fillings. So far I have done a meat filling, garlic-chilli, and herb butter. All yumm, and never lasts the hour.

  9. 9

    Burp!

Everything is better on a full stomach. I cook when I am happy, tired, depressed, anxious, and it always makes my day better. And we always have people over, and it gives me plenty chances to keep trying out new recipes.
