Wash and clean the plum tomatoes. Cut all of the tomatoes in half, lengthwise, and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add the onions and sauté them till transparent. Add garlic and green chilli. Fry for about a minute.

Add all the cut tomatoes to the pan and let cook for about a minute. Add the salt and add red chilli powder and turmeric after another 2 minutes.

When the tomatoes will begin to cook and become soft, mix well and add sugar. Mix and add mango powder and sprinkle kasoori methi. Mix and turn off the flame. Serve as a side dish.
