Ingredients

  • 4potatoes medium size
  • 2onions
  • 4tomatoes
  • 1 inchginger
  • 2green chillies
  • 1 tbspcashew nuts water soaked in hot
  • 2 tbspsoil
  • pinchturmeric powder A
  • salt
  • 1 tspchilli powder
  • 2 tspscoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • 1 tspKasurimethi
  • 1 cupwater
  • Coriander leaves
  • cashew nuts Roasted
  • For seasoning
  • 1/2 tspcumin seed
  • 2chillies red

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook potatoes and then peel it and cut into cubes.

  2. 2

    Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a pan and shallow fry the potatoeos and keep aside.

  3. 3

    Grind onion, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, green chillies, cashew nuts to a fine paste. Keep aside.

  4. 4

    Heat the remaining oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, when it sputter add red chillies and fry it.

  5. 5

    Then add that fine paste to it and cook till the raw smell goes.

  6. 6

    After that add turmeric powder, chillies powder, coriander powder, garam masala and needed salt and cook it for 3 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add the fried potatoes and a cup of water and simmer till the gravy thickens.

  8. 8

    Finally garnish it with coriander leaves and roasted cashews
