Ingredients

  • 5Carrots
  • 1Onion
  • 3Green Chillies
  • FistfulCoriander Leaves of
  • Wholewheat Parathas

  1. 1

    Grate carrots and finely chop onions, chillies, coriander leaves. Mix together and add to a bowl.

  2. 2

    Add some salt, red chilli powder, haldi and garam masala to the veggies. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Add four fistfuls of flour to this mixture. Add water and a little oil to make a soft dough.

  4. 4

    Roll out into slightly thickish parathas. Cook on a tava adding generous oil on both sides to cook the paratha through and through.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with butter and raita! (It's quite tasty as is so you don't really need a pickle or veggies to go with this.)

I cook because I love to eat. It's really as simple as that. Fortunately for me, I married a foodie (who happens to be a much much better cook than me). Fairly early in the marriage I realized the best way to avoid ego clashes about each other's cooking was to make things Karan had no expertise on. And thus my tryst with baking began.
