Tuna Thoran(South Indian)
I learn this from my father when he used to make easy preparations when mom wasn't at home. I have made my own additions to it.
My Tuna can had only Tuna, Vegetable Broth and Salt. So I used it all...
Steps
- 1
Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions till brown
- 2
Add the tomatoes and saute for 5mins
- 3
Add the masalas and salt and saute for 1 min.
- 4
Add the tuna, mix well to make all the big lumps smaller as well.
- 5
Add water, bring to boil. Return to low flame. Cover the pan with a plate so it cooks for another 15mins.
- 6
Remove the cover, the water must have dried by now. Keep sauting the tuna mixture till pretty dry and slightly crispy.
- 7
Garnish with corriander leaves. That adds a real taste to the tuna thoran. Serve hot with rice or any bread item.
