Ingredients

  1. 2 tinsTuna -
  2. 1Onion , sliced long
  3. 1Tomato (peeled and sliced long)
  4. 1 sprigCorriander leaves -
  5. 1 tbspLemon -
  6. Masalas
  7. 1/2 tspTurmeric -
  8. 1/2 tspRed Chilli Powder or Cayene Powder -
  9. 1/4 tspGaram Masala -
  10. 1/2 tspSalt - or to taste
  11. 1 tbspOil -
  12. 1/4 cupWater -

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions till brown

  2. 2

    Add the tomatoes and saute for 5mins

  3. 3

    Add the masalas and salt and saute for 1 min.

  4. 4

    Add the tuna, mix well to make all the big lumps smaller as well.

  5. 5

    Add water, bring to boil. Return to low flame. Cover the pan with a plate so it cooks for another 15mins.

  6. 6

    Remove the cover, the water must have dried by now. Keep sauting the tuna mixture till pretty dry and slightly crispy.

  7. 7

    Garnish with corriander leaves. That adds a real taste to the tuna thoran. Serve hot with rice or any bread item.
