Ingredients

  • 2 cupBudweiser beer
  • 2small onions, sliced
  • 1clove of garlic
  • 1bay leaf
  • 3whole peppercorns
  • 2celery ribs
  • 2 tspsalt
  • 1/2lemon, quartered
  • 2 lb shrimp cleaned and deveined

Steps

  1. 1

    Pour beer in large pot; add onion slices, garlic, bay leaf and salt.

  2. 2

    Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add lemon and shrimp to pot and simmer for 12 minutes.

  4. 4

    Remove from heat, let cool and drain.

  5. 5

    Peel off shells and chill for 1 hour before serving.
