Ingredients

30 minutes + soaking time
4 -5 people
  • 1 cupyellow moong dal
  • 1/2 cupgobindo bhog rice 🍚
  • 1 cupcauliflower florets big size
  • 1carrot 🥕 cut into thick slice
  • 7-8french beans cut in to thick size
  • 1big potato 🥔 cut into to big cubes
  • 1 cuppumpkin 🎃 cut into big cubes
  • 1big tomato 🍅 cut into to big cubes + 1/4 cup green peas 🫛
  • 1 tbspchopped ginger 🫚 & green chili
  • 1 tspred chili powder
  • 1/2 tsphaldi powder
  • 1/2 tspjeera powder
  • Salt 🧂 to taste
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • 2 tbspChopped coriander
  • 3-4 tbspmustard oil
  • 2 tbspghee for serving
  • Whole spices … 1 tsp jeera 2 bay leaves 2 dry red chili 🌶️ 3-4 black pepper 2 cloves 1small pieces cinnamon 1/4 tsp hing for tadka

Steps

30 minutes + soaking time
  1. 1

    First roast dal & rice on medium heat then wash it 3-4 times & soak it in 4 cups of water for 1 hr

    Heat mustard oil fry potato 🥔 cauliflower beans & carrot 🥕 till light golden color; remove & keep aside

    In same oil put tadka then add ginger 🫚 green chili sauté it then add pumpkin 🎃 & tomato 🍅 mix it well

    Now add spices & cook till tomatoes little mushy

    Add roasted dal & rice roast for 2-3 minutes

    Add peas 🫛 & garam masala & veggies which u kept side

    Now add water & cook for 3 whistles. Open & correct the seasoning & add chopped coriander leaves

    Serve hot with ghee aaloo bhaja & aamsotto chutney

Sabziyon ko pehle halka fry karke alag rakh do, phir khichuri me milao - isse rang aur
swaad dono khile rehte hain!
