Ingredients

  • Kunafa dough (amount depends on number of servings or your preference)
  • Butter
  • Filling mixture
  • 2 tablespoonscornstarch
  • 1/2 cuppowdered milk (about 50 grams)
  • 1 cupwater (about 240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoonscream
  • 2/3 blockcream cheese (such as Kiri, about 40 grams)

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the kunafa dough with butter until well combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the filling mixture.

  3. 3

    Dissolve the cornstarch and powdered milk in water over medium heat, stirring until it thickens.

  4. 4

    Add the cream and cream cheese, stirring quickly to avoid lumps.

  5. 5

    Place a portion of the kunafa dough in mini molds, then add some of the filling.

  6. 6

    Top with the remaining kunafa dough and bake in the oven until golden and cooked through.

  7. 7

    Pour sugar syrup over the kunafa after baking.

  8. 8

    Serve and enjoy.
