Mini Toad in the hole

My friend posted a pic of Toad in the hole on instagram. It looks easy and delicious! I never even heard of that!!!
I'm very interested in what does it taste like.
I have egg, flour, milk, and sausage in my refrigerator as usual.
I checked the internet, it says it's one of the classic British food.
So, Why don't I try new one?

I used 6-hole muffin tin instead of using a baking tin. It's MINI Toad in the hole!

Ingredients

  1. 6 tbspall purpose flour
  2. 1Egg (room temperature)
  3. 175 mlMilk (room temperature)
  4. 1 pinchsalt
  5. 1 pinchpepper
  6. 6sausage
  7. 6 tspolive oil

Cooking Instructions

    In a medium bowl, Whisk together the flour, salt and pepper. Add beaten egg and half of the milk. Whisk everything together with a hand blender or wire whisk. Add a bit more milk and continue stirring until the batter is well mixed and smooth.

    Strain and push any remaining lumps through a sieve. Keep batter in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 220C.

    Put 1tsp oil and a sausage into each muffin cup. Then, put the muffin pan in the oven for a few minutes or until the oil is very hot.

    Carefully remove from the oven and quickly fill the cups. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with gravy sauce or ketchup.
