Ingredients

about 50 cookies
  1. 1/2 cupunsalted butter at room temperature (about 115 grams)
  2. 1 cupgranulated sugar (about 200 grams)
  3. 2eggs
  4. 2 packetsvanilla powder (or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract)
  5. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  6. 1 tablespoonground cinnamon
  7. 1 pinchsalt
  8. 3 cupssifted all-purpose flour (about 375 grams)
  9. 1little coarse sugar (white or brown) for sprinkling

    Beat the butter and sugar in a mixer until light and fluffy. Add the egg whites first, then the yolks.

  2. 2

    Add the vanilla, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, then gradually mix in the flour.

  3. 3

    You should have a dough that doesn't stick. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) thick. Use cookie cutters to cut into your favorite shapes.

  5. 5

    Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with coarse sugar.

  6. 6

    Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes.
