Steps

  1. 1

Divide one sponge cake into 2 or 3 layers and assemble the base of the cake by first spreading strawberry sauce on each layer.

  2. 2

    Next, add the Nutella cream.

  3. 3

    Cover with the second layer.

  4. 4

From the second sponge cake, cut 4 equal square pieces (for turrets at each corner of the base) and one larger square piece for the central tower.

  5. 5

Make a cardboard base for the central tower. Place it in the center of the cake after inserting 4 sticks for support, so the tower doesn't sink.

  6. 6

Cut the larger square piece in half horizontally and place one piece on the base.

  7. 7

Spread with strawberry sauce and Nutella cream before placing the second piece on top to create the central tower. Attach the other 4 sponge cake pieces with a little Nutella at the 4 corners of the cake.

  8. 8

Cover the entire cake with whipped cream.

  9. 9

Start building with finely crushed cookies. Stick the cookies all over the whipped cream surface and smooth carefully with your hand.

  10. 10

If the cardboard base has room, you can add extra cookies for the beach (it's good to spread jam first to make the sand stick) and a little blue-colored whipped cream for the sea.

  11. 11

Shape the castle by placing pieces of wafer cookies around to give the appearance of meanders.

  12. 12

Use a wafer roll for a cannon and 3 Maltesers for cannonballs. Decorate with candies or wafer cookies for doors and windows or whatever else comes to mind.

  13. 13

Spread jam on the cones and roll them in the crushed cookies to make them look like sand.

  14. 14

Place the cones on the 4 corner turrets and the central one. On the central cone, place a small flag, while on the others you can put sparklers. Finish with chocolate seashells on the castle and the beach.
