Steps
- 1
Put the lentils in a pot and bring to a boil, then turn the heat off. Leave them there for 30' and change the water.
- 2
Put the lentils, oil, herbs and the finely chopped vegetables in twice as much water as what is needed to cover them.
- 3
Add the tomato, salt, pepper and leave them to boil over low heat.
- 4
Just before they are done (after about 30') add the hilopites. You have to make sure that the lentils have enough water because the hilopites will absorb quite a bit, but they should not be watery.
- 5
Leave them until they thicken.
