Steps

Remove the stems and wash the strawberries.

Place them in a pot in layers with the sugar.

Set them aside for 12 hours until the sugar dissolves.

Boil the spoon sweet for 3 minutes skimming off the foam, then remove from heat and set it aside for an additional 12 hours.

Strain and boil the syrup only, for 10 minutes until it thickens.
- 6
Add the strawberries and the juice of half a lemon, skim off the foam again and remove from heat. When it cools store in jars.
