Ingredients

  • 100 gmsBadam
  • 100 gmssugar
  • cardomon powder
  • food colour (optional)
  • 1 tbspghee
  • 2-3 tbspMilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak badam for 3-4 hours. Then remove the skin and grind it into smooth paste by adding little milk..

  2. 2

    Heat pan and add 1 tbsp of ghee.Then add the badam paste and sugar together.Mix well.

  3. 3

    Allow it to cook for sometime in slow flame.When it starts leaving the pan, add cardamon powder and mix well.Then switch off the flame.

  4. 4

    Add saffron colour to the halwa.This is optional part,I did not add any colour to it.I like it as it is.

  5. 5

    Garnish the halwa with chopped almonds.
