Banana cream pie from the settlement cookbook -1965
This comes from one of my mom's old Cookbooks
Steps

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt

Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.

Cook in double boiler until cornstarch is clear and begins to thicken.

Beat egg yolks slightly

Add gradually to mixture.

Cook about 2 minutes.

Add vanilla.

Cool.

Put alternate layers of bananas and filling into baked pie shell.

Cover with meringue or whipped cream.
