Ingredients

  1. 1 quarttart apples
  2. 2 cupswater
  3. 2 cupsbrown sugar
  4. 1lemon, juice and grated rind
  5. 6 piecesginger root

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wipe, pare, quarter, core and cut the apples into small cubes.

  2. 2

    Boil water, sugar and lemon juice 5 minutes or until clear, add the lemon rind, apples and ginger root and cook slowly 2 or more hours until thick and brown. Poor into hot, sterilized Jars and seal.
