Homemade Chicken Shawarma

Steps
- 1
Slice the chicken breasts into thin, long strips.
- 2
Place the chicken in a large bowl and add all the ingredients on top.
- 3
Mix well until everything is combined. Cover and let marinate for 45 to 60 minutes.
- 4
Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the marinated chicken mixture.
- 5
Stack the flatbreads on the side.
- 6
After five minutes of cooking, briefly press both sides of the bread onto the chicken in the pan to absorb some flavor.
- 7
Continue cooking the chicken for another 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked.
- 8
Serve hot with French fries and onions if desired.
- 9
Spread mayonnaise or garlic sauce on the bread, add pickles and chicken filling, then roll up the sandwich.
- 10
Toast the sandwiches in a hot nonstick skillet, then slice and garnish with pomegranate molasses, tomato slices, and lemon wedges.
