Meat Pies with Dough and Pepper Pies

Prepare the quick ten-minute dough: In a bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons yeast, a pinch of salt, and 2 cups warm water. Mix well and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then add 3 more cups flour, 1 tablespoon powdered milk, and 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Mix and let the dough rise for 20 minutes until ready to use.

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with onion, tomato, parsley, and spices. In another bowl, mix the red pepper paste with nigella seeds, sesame seeds, and spices.

Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a circle using a rolling pin. You can use a round plate to cut perfect circles. Place the meat filling on some of the circles until the meat mixture is used up, then use the pepper filling on the remaining circles.

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place a dough round in the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to broil. Transfer the pie to a baking sheet and broil until the top is golden. Repeat with all the pies. Serve the meat pies with plain yogurt and pickles. Enjoy!
