Ingredients

  • 1 cupwhole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cupsugar or to taste, powdered
  • 1 tsp.baking powder
  • pinchsalt
  • 100 gmsbutter, chilled
  • 1/4 tsp.cardamom powder
  • pinchsaffron
  • 1 tsp.kewra / rose water
  • 2-3 tbsp.milk or as required

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, sugar, cardamom powder and saffron. Add the butter and mix everything well so that it resembles breadcrumbs.

    Add the kewra water and required quantity of milk to knead it.

    Roll out into a circle by dusting some flour. Cut with a cookie cutter

    And transfer them to the baking tray.

    Bake the biscuits at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes.

    Set them aside to cool down before storing them in an air-tight container.
