Wash Pepeprs then remove the stalk and the seeds and cut them into large pieces

Saute Peppers in hot oil on large fry pan until soft

Chop and saute the onion in the large saucepan in the 1/2 cup of olive oil until soft

Add the soft peppers to the saucepan with the onions and the crushed tomatos, the salt, the pepper, and sugar. Start simmering.

Cut each hot dog into three parts and fry them on the frypan until warm and brown outside, not too much

Once the Red Peppers soften (but not melt) throw in the hot dogs and continue simmering.

Check and stirr every 15 minutes covered until the juices are reduced and then covered.

Keep simmering for about an hour until peppers are softened well and red juices start emerging on the surface,

Turn fire off and let sit for another 15 minutes then serve
