  1. 2 packagesHebrew National Hotdogs Largest Size 6 in a box
  2. 1 lbLarge Green Peppers
  3. 1 lbLarge Red Peppers
  4. 2 canCrushed Tomatoes HUNTS. 1lb each
  5. 1 largeOnion or two smaller ones CHOPPED
  6. 1/2 cupOlive Oil
  7. 2Bay Leaves
  8. 1 tspSugar
  9. 1 pinchSalt
  10. 1 pinchGround Pepper

    Wash Pepeprs then remove the stalk and the seeds and cut them into large pieces

  2. 2

    Saute Peppers in hot oil on large fry pan until soft

  3. 3

    Chop and saute the onion in the large saucepan in the 1/2 cup of olive oil until soft

  4. 4

    Add the soft peppers to the saucepan with the onions and the crushed tomatos, the salt, the pepper, and sugar. Start simmering.

  5. 5

    Cut each hot dog into three parts and fry them on the frypan until warm and brown outside, not too much

  6. 6

    Once the Red Peppers soften (but not melt) throw in the hot dogs and continue simmering.

  7. 7

    Check and stirr every 15 minutes covered until the juices are reduced and then covered.

  8. 8

    Keep simmering for about an hour until peppers are softened well and red juices start emerging on the surface,

  9. 9

    Turn fire off and let sit for another 15 minutes then serve
