Ingredients

  1. 3 clovegarlic minced
  2. 1sweet onion chopped
  3. 1bottle burgandy wine
  4. 1white rice to serve over
  5. 1salt and pepper to taste
  6. 1 packageschicken thighs skin removed (you may use one whole chicken cut up also)
  7. 3 tbspcornstarch (or a little more)

Steps

  1. 1

    add chicken to a large pot

  2. 2

    cover chicken with wine

  3. 3

    add onions, garlic, salt, and pepper

  4. 4

    cook on high until you get the mixture boiling

  5. 5

    boil for 5 min then reduce the heat and simmer for 45 min

  6. 6

    after 45 minutes remove one cup of the cooking liquid and add the cornstarch to it. stir till mixed

  7. 7

    add the mixture back to the pot and stir in

  8. 8

    let thicken for a few minutes..if you would like it thicker repeat the last step till it thickens up a bit..season with salt to taste

  9. 9

    serve over white rice with lots of the broth

  10. 10

    **the chicken will be a deep burgundy color because of the wine but it is absolutely delicious!
