Vietnamese Grilled Chili Salt Bánh Mì

I made this dish quite a while ago, and today I'm sharing the recipe again for those who asked, and to add more variety to my recipe collection. If you can find small Vietnamese-style baguettes, they'll taste even better, but where I live, I can only get the longer baguette type.

I made this dish quite a while ago, and today I'm sharing the recipe again for those who asked, and to add more variety to my recipe collection. If you can find small Vietnamese-style baguettes, they'll taste even better, but where I live, I can only get the longer baguette type.
Steps
- 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Use a rolling pin to flatten the baguette as much as possible.
- 3
Spread the sauce evenly over the baguette, then place it in the oven.
- 4
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 4 minutes. Remove the bread, spread more sauce on top, flip it over, and bake for another 4 minutes. Then take the bread out.
- 5
If you want the bread even crispier, turn off the oven and leave the bread inside for another 5–10 minutes before removing it. Finally, sprinkle fried shallots and pork floss on top, then drizzle with mayonnaise and chili sauce. Enjoy! Please credit the original source if you share this recipe.
