Brown ground beef with onions and garlic in large pot. Do not drain fat; this is why I use 80/20 or leaner.

Add all other ingredients and only drain the kidney beans. If you are adding cayenne or chili sauce add in very small amounts and taste so you don't over spice it.

Simmer for as little as 30 minutes or up to 2 hours stirring occasionally. Add more chili powder to taste.

Serve with minced white onions and grated cheddar cheese.
