Ingredients

  1. 1 lbpkg of egg noodles
  2. 1 1/2 stickbutter or margarine
  3. 1 packagescubed ham, about 3/4 pound or more if u like it meatier
  4. 16 sliceof american cheese
  5. 1salt & pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    cook noodles according to pkg directions.. drain and place into large bowl

  2. 2

    in a medium pan melt butter.

  3. 3

    add ham cubes

  4. 4

    unwrap ur cheese slices and toss them into the pan with the butter and the ham.

  5. 5

    use low to medium heat and continue to stir until all the cheese has melted. make sure u stir constantly so cheese don't stick to bottom and burn.

    as soon as all the cheese is melted pour the ham cheese mix on top of the noodles.

    mix until noodles are well coated and then salt and pepper to taste..

  8. 8

    serve it up! cuz its done! makes a great lunch or a side dish!

well, I thought it was tasty, and I am not a Ham person; but my boys, who I thought would love it, said it was "eh". I didn't have American, so I used ragu double Cheddar sauce with some heavy cream and only half stick of butter, and it came out very similar to American. I also used honey Ham since that's what we like, and added some green pepper for the hubby (who doesn't like Ham, but TOUGH, its cheap!) the verdict is still out from hubby and daughter, but ya know what? it was cheap, fast, and I thought yummy. their bellies are full so mission accomplished. :P
