Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2
Take ingredients 1-5, 1can of 8oz tomato sauce, and sprinkle in some salt and pepper into a large bowl. Wash hands and mix well.
- 3
Place into a 13x9 pan and the meat mixture into an oval/oblong shape. Now make a dent in the middle of the meatloaf.
- 4
Now add instant rice in the middle, spread evenly. Approximately a 1/2 cup, could be less or more. Use your judgement...I didn't measure it, sorry.
- 5
Now fold side meat over to cover up the rice and smooth out. Place foil over pan and place into oven for 1 hour.
- 6
While meatloaf is in oven place 2cans of 8oz tomato sauce and 15oz can of meatloaf sauce into a medium saucepan. Place on stove over medium heat stirring occasionally.
- 7
When the hour is up take meat out of oven. Open up one corner of foil *caution: be careful the heat is hot and will burn your fingers* With one corner lifted I drain out the grease. Don't let your meatloaf fall out ;)
- 8
Remove foil completely and pour tomato sauce across the top of meatloaf. Place back in oven, maybe 15 mins. I usually take it out when the sauce starts bubbling. Then its ready to serve.

My mom was a nanny when she was younger, and brought this meatloaf recipe from that family. It's so delicious, I'll never need another meatloaf recipe. Please read the directions first, since this isn't all exact measurements. But trust me, it's not hard to get right. allison.ginger.3 -
